Awatea Logo Position

Awatea logo position has been decided, the stern logo will be 1000mm at the center of the storage lips, while the bow logo is about 400mm. The boat is currently undergoing refurnishing and will be handled to John on coming January 2011.

With the help of Peter, we have the first look of the boat with logo!

Logo Selection 
Stems from the original idea of a large yacht cutting through the waves as it sails through the ocean. After several drafts it has ended up as stylised sails moving across the sea with the evening star in the background partially covered by the foresail.

Awatea


Awatea is born in 12 September 2010 after John Spedding found her in Turkey Marmaris with the assistance of Woei Haw. 2 more mates for the boat will be joining in sequence, Mark in January 2011 and Derek Pell in March 2011. Woei Haw schedules to return in March 2011.




Brief description of Awatea
Awatea is a German made yacht that have a length of 16.1 meter, (53 ft) that going to register in New Zealand, it is named after John's last Company in Australia (It was also the name of the very fine Union Steamship Company, ship was lost in World War II). The logo was designed by Woei Haw.


The boat has 3 cabins with individual heads and showers.
